Chuck Liddell, Glover Teixeira, and Luigi Mondelli after Glover’s victory over Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the UFC on Fox.

Once again Glover Teixeira has shown that he has what it takes to be the next UFC light heavy weight champion. His last achievement was an unanimous victory over one of the best MMA fighters of all times, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Glover is natural from Sobralia, MG in Brazil but long ago he has made Danbury his hometown. He has been living in Danbury since he moved to the United States and in 2002 he was introduced to the fighting world. Around 2003-2004 Glover started training BJJ in Danbury with our head coach Luigi Mondelli, and when he received his black belt, he moved to California to train MMA under the legendary John Hackleman, Chuck Liddell’s trainer.

Glover is an awesome example of humility, dedication, and honesty. A true role model for the young generations of MMA practitioners.

He has definetely put Danbury on the map again, after all he is Danbury’s only UFC fighter!
