American Top Team Reopening
We are glad to announce that American Top Team Connecticut will be reopening on Monday, June 23rd. We will be operating at a limited capacity observing many new Health and Safety Guidelines.
Our strategy is to be extra precautious in this restart following a progression within five phases. We will pay attention to the State recommendations and move through the phases until we reach our full operation mode.
We will keep updating our website keeping everyone informed. On June 20th we will release the new schedule and instructions about our reservation system.
New Features
We will continue providing access to our online resources implemented during the quarantine, such as:
- Google Classroom (Weekly Classes Programs)
- & Online broadcasting of all classes in our Facebook Group.
Those that could still not feel confident in returning to classes will always be able to follow us and the curriculum through these two outlets.
Pre-Training Requirements
Before engaging in any training or participating in your first class, all students will be required to:
- Fill and sign a new Waiver/Liability Release Agreement and addendum to the current contract
- Confirm having watched our new Health and Safety Guidelines Video (link will be sent to all students a week before the reopening)
- Read our new Code of Conduct and Rules of Etiquette
New General Guidelines
There will be a few new rules and procedures in place that will remain as part of our routine, even when we reach our regular operation.
- Students will be forbidden from walking barefoot on the front area and inside the restroom.
- We will ask students to bring separate flip-flops to be worn when going to the restroom.
- The only places where barefoot is allowed are: on the mats, hallway in front of mats, and change rooms.
- Any uniforms, belts, clothing, and equipment left behind will be thrown out. We will run a rigorous cleaning and sanitization every night. Anything left behind can lead to cross-contamination.
- We will require and enforce that no students attend to class if feeling any symptom of a common cold, flu, etc.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Routines
- Our mats will continue being disinfected between each class.
- Our Industrial size 3 stage air filter (MERV 13 Filter, Activated Carbon Filter, HEPA Filter) will run 24/7
- One commercial size ozone generator will run for 2 hours between 1 pm to 3 pm.
- At night, after sanitizing the gym, we will run two commercial size ozone generators for 2 hours.
- Both commercial size ozone generators will run non stop from Saturday 3 pm to Monday 9 am, guaranteeing 99.9% of sterilization of our whole facility
GENERAL GUIDELINES
We understand that all students are eager to return to the old normal. However, to make sure that we follow all initial precautions, American Top Team Connecticut will adopt the following measures from now on, and we will keep this list as our normal practice:
- Students will be required to reserve their spot in each class through our new reservation system
- All students will have their temperature checked upon entering the gym. No one with any sign of fever will be allowed to train
- Students will be asked to inform the school if he or she has been diagnosed with COVID19, or anyone in their household has COVID19. In both cases, we will ask the student to not attend class until clear by a doctor
- Students will be required to spray their hands and feet with disinfectant solution upon entering the mats
- We will spread bottles of disinfectant solution and cleaning wipes throughout the gym providing easy access to everyone
- We will limit the use of the locker room and ask all students to change as quickly as possible.
- If possible, we will request the students to come already dressed up for class
- No one will be allowed to ‘hang out’ in the gym after class
- We will ask parents to drop off their kids and not wait inside (live feed to classes will be shared)
