GRAPPLING FOR THE STREETS WORKSHOP AT AMERICAN TOP TEAM DANBURY, CT.
We are super excited to announce that we will host Shihan Walt Lysak on December 17th at 10 am at our school in Danbury, CT.
Shihan Walt Lysak Jr is a lifelong martial artist, founder of the RMA (Reality Martial Arts) system, and Professor Mondelli’s self-defense mentor.
We asked Shihan to teach a Grappling-specific seminar focused on self-defense, and he is putting together a real dynamic course for our students and friends.
No previous experience in BJJ or grappling is required. The goal is to work on some scenarios where de-escalation failed, and you would find yourself in need of engaging to protect yourself or someone else.
Grappling is “a” tool, and understanding controls, pins, and submissions is crucial to stop a threat safely (if appropriate for the situation. Every case is different, such as single or multiple opponents, with weapons involved or not…)
